Welcome to The FLOWSTATE Stories. This is a blog space we’ve created to explore the crossroads between creative visual storytelling and finding flow. To those who don’t know, “flow” is a state of mind in which the person experiencing it is fully immersed in and energized by whatever task they are performing - also known as being “in the zone.” It is considered by some to be the ultimate experience in learning and performing. An experience we try to attain and reflect into all of our projects and into our company as a whole.

We are three female filmmakers on a mission to create branded and independent visual stories that have meaning and purpose. But our mission goes beyond making quality films and videos – we focus on cultivating and refining a higher level of process or “flow” that applies to each unique story, client, and vision. This requires us to be in a constant state of self and company reflection and growth which we feel is imperative to success both personally and professionally. This blog will be that growth space for us - a place to share our ideas, discuss our journey as female filmmakers and business owners, be open about our struggle and drive to find and be in a state of flow, and share our opinions and expertise of a combined experience of over 35yrs in the film/video industry.
